Midrange

A midrange disc is a type of disc that is designed for shots that require more control and accuracy than distance. Stable midrange discs have a straighter flight path than drivers and are ideal for approach shots, shorter drives, and shots around obstacles. They have a flatter top and a smaller rim than drivers, which makes them easier to control and maneuver. Overstable midrange discs hook predictably to the left (for right-handed backhand throws) and perform well in windy conditions. Understable midrange discs turn right during the initial part of the flight (for right-handed backhand throws), making them easier to throw for beginners and perfect for throwing around right-side obstacles, especially in calm conditions.
